Program overview

What this program is about

Environmental Science trains scientists who can measure a problem and help solve it. You will sample water on the Charles River in your first semester and spend a summer field course at our Cape Cod field station in Woods Hole.

Upper-level courses connect climate, ecology and policy, and the senior capstone pairs student teams with a Massachusetts town, agency or nonprofit on a real environmental question.

Learning by doing

Every Campora program includes hands-on work outside the classroom — a co-op, a clinical placement, a residency, a studio project or faculty research. Boston is our campus: more than 600 employers and 30 hospitals are a short ride away.

  • 91%employed or in grad school within six months
  • $58,000median starting salary
  • 18students in an average class

What you will learn

  • Collect and analyze field and lab data on water, soil and air
  • Use GIS and remote sensing to map environmental change
  • Explain climate systems and their local impacts
  • Evaluate environmental policy and regulation
  • Communicate science to communities and decision makers
